Awards

Although we are all about the fun and team building ... there is a competitive aspect to Corporate Challenge for the keen ones! We have both individual and team competitions taking place on each event night, with some superb trophies (and bragging rights!) up for grabs!
You can find out how the competitions work here.
Team Competitions

Top 3 Male & Female Teams Overall
Top Male & Female Teams in Industry Category

Awards are given based on "Team Time".
Individual Competitions

Top Male & Female Overall
Top Male & Female CEO Challenge Finishers

Awards are given based on "Gun Time".

Competition Rules & Definitions

Teams

  1. For the purposes of the teams competition, each team is split into a Male team and a Female team.
  2. Team competitions are ranked on "Team Time".
  3. Team Times do not include any team member identified as "Friend or Family" (i.e. anyone who is not a bona fide full or part time employee or exclusive contractor is excluded).
  4. The Team Time is calculated as the sum of the top 3 finishers (male or female) in that team. If the team does not have at least three finishers then no team time is awarded.
  5. Team Times are calculated using the "Gun Time" of the qualifying individuals (see definition below).
  6. Industry Category awards are based on the most appropriate industry for the organisation. Categories are: ACCOUNTING | FINANCE/INSURANCE | GOVERNMENT/HEALTH |  LEGAL | SPORT/LEISURE | TECHNOLOGY | TRANSPORT & CONSTRUCTION.
Important! The race director will use their discretion to find an applicable industry category for each team ... even though the link may be somewhat "tangential"!

Individuals

  1. The individual competitions are open to all participants, whether part of a team or not.
  2. Awards are presented based on "Gun Time", which is the time taken from the starting signal to crossing the finish line.
  3. Online results lists are presented based on "Net Time" (sometimes called "chip time" or "personal time"), which is the time taken  from crossing the timing mats at the start of the race to crossing the finish line.
  4. The CEO Challenge is open to all CEOs, CFOs, Senior Partners and Senior Board Members of each organisation. You must be nominated as a CEO when your team is registered in order to be eligible for the award.

Running Events are the organisers of the Corporate Challenge Series.
All of our events operate under our general Competition Rules which you can view here.

Download a Poster

If you didn't receive one of our posters in the mail (sent to all recent team managers) then you can download a PDF version here.

When you print it out, remember to add your own details so everyone know's who the team manager is ... and then get it on the fridge in the break room or the noticeboard!
